In 1988, the Soviet Union studied a variety of factors in the micro-emulsification process on the performance of resin. The major producers in world are mainly in United States, German, Japan and China. In China, the production of vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resin started in 1960s.
At present, China polyvinyl chloride (PVC) market was led to the blind capacity expansion by the short supply a few years ago, the annual domestic market demand is over 700 million tons, while the actual production capacity has reached more than 1,000 tons. However, due to the unstable quality, uneven particle size, export is a difficult road. The production of vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resin can proceed the procedures of digestion and absorption of excess domestic production capacity of polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
